Terms of Use

Effective July 6, 2026 Versioned on GitHub ›

These Terms of Use govern your use of Satra, an open-source, self-custody crypto wallet. By using Satra, you agree to these Terms.

The short version

Satra is wallet software, not a financial service. You hold your own keys, you verify your own transactions, and nobody — including Satra — can reverse a broadcast transaction or recover a lost recovery phrase. The full terms below say exactly that, precisely.

1Self-custody wallet

Satra is non-custodial. You control your own recovery phrase, private keys, public addresses, and transactions. Satra does not hold funds for you, does not operate user accounts, and cannot recover your wallet if you lose your recovery phrase or private keys.

You are responsible for:

backing up your recovery phrase and private keys;
keeping backups private and secure;
verifying recipient addresses, assets, networks, amounts, and fees before sending;
understanding the risks of the networks and assets you use;
complying with laws that apply to you.

2No exchange, brokerage, custody, or investment advice

Satra is wallet software. Satra does not provide cryptocurrency exchange, brokerage, trading, custody, banking, staking, lending, money transmission, or investment advisory services.

Satra does not recommend that you buy, sell, hold, or transfer any asset. Any market prices, balances, charts, or currency conversions shown in Satra are estimates for convenience and may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or inaccurate.

3Supported networks and assets

Satra supports only the networks and assets listed in the Satra project documentation. Support may change as the app evolves, public infrastructure changes, or network conditions require.

Unsupported assets, unsupported networks, incorrect addresses, incorrect chains, or incorrect token contracts may cause permanent loss.

4Transactions are final

Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible. Before sending, you must confirm every detail, including:

Asset Network Recipient address Amount Fee Source wallet

Satra cannot cancel, reverse, refund, or recover a transaction after it is signed and broadcast.

5Network fees and third-party infrastructure

Blockchain networks may charge transaction fees. Public RPC, API, Electrum, explorer, indexer, and blockchain providers may be used for sync, transaction history, fee estimation, receiving, sending, and broadcasting.

Those third-party providers are outside Satra’s control. They may be unavailable, delayed, rate-limited, inaccurate, or subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Your IP address may be visible to them.

6Security responsibilities

You must protect your device, passcode, biometric access, recovery phrase, private keys, and backups. If someone obtains your recovery phrase or private keys, they can control your wallet and funds.

Satra cannot restore funds lost because of malware, phishing, device compromise, exposed backups, incorrect transactions, unsupported assets, or third-party service failures.

7Acceptable use

You agree not to use Satra for unlawful activity, fraud, sanctions evasion, money laundering, unauthorized access, or activity that violates laws or rights of others.

You are responsible for determining whether your use of Satra and any supported network or asset is legal in your country or region.

8Open-source software

Satra’s source code may be published under the license included in the Satra repository. Open-source availability does not create a warranty, custody relationship, advisory relationship, or obligation to support any specific network, asset, or feature forever.

9Availability and changes

Satra may change, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features, network support, provider configuration, or app behavior at any time. Some functionality depends on third-party blockchain infrastructure and may not always be available.

10Disclaimers

Satra is provided as wallet software on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Satra disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and security.

No software can guarantee complete security, uninterrupted service, or error-free operation.

11Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Satra and its contributors are not liable for lost funds, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, blockchain failures, third-party provider failures, incorrect transactions, unauthorized access, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.

12Termination

You may stop using Satra at any time. You are responsible for backing up your recovery phrase and private keys before uninstalling the app, clearing app data, resetting your device, or removing a wallet.

13Changes to these Terms

Satra may update these Terms as the app, supported networks, or legal requirements change. Updated terms will be published in the Satra GitHub repository and may also be linked from the app and Google Play listing.
